Marketing Mistake #2: Taking The Marketing Drugs

What do I mean by the Marketing Drugs?

Most people like quick fixes, that's what a drug is! You take it and you feel good temporarily but...

The issue is the comedown.

The issue is the long-term effects.

You can't really do well when you're taking drugs!

Same exact thing when it comes to marketing. Most people look for the marketing quick fix, the marketing drug. They get some advice from someone who promises them the world, they sell them that they're going to do the marketing for them but because you don't know it, you just want a temporary high.

It goes like this:

  1. A marketing salesman sells you something nice, and tells you he'll help you with your marketing...

  2. You take what he gave you, and it seems good for a while...

  3. Before you know it, you look down at your bank statement and you've spent SO much money!

  4. The results aren't really there, and the comedown starts to suck...

  5. That salesman has excuses, and the only thing that he can offer you is to deal you more drugs meaning, "Oh it takes more than 3 months for results, the algorithms need to learn, etc. so let's continue..."

  6. Another six months go by of you investing... and you're still not getting sales from your marketing.

So that's the marketing drug! You need to get off of it!

You have to learn!

You need to get off the idea that it's a quick fix.

You have to invest in yourself!

And if it takes 6 months, if it takes 2 years, and if it takes 3 months... it's WORTH IT, because you actually improved, truly, and you didn't take a drug that is a temporary band-aid... instead, you got real-life results, and that is worth everything!
